Halloween

John and I went to a Halloween party on Saturday. Since I had bought all the ren faire garb but had not had a chance to wear it, our theme was obvious. Ren Faire Zombies.

I had the bodice and a shirt but no skirt. Izzy loaned me a skirt to wear and I was all set. Then Babs graciously offered to make me a skirt. I attempted to buy the material by myself at a fabric store, a scary and strange place. Having failed that, babs and I went to another fabric store before SavageBeat down(^TM). We bought a nice moss green fabric, a pattern and we were off in plenty of time for a luscious SavageBeatdown!

After a few fittings, babs fnished it in plenty of time. John and I went to a Halloween store, bought some makeup and we were ready. The bathroom was worse for ware, with makeup smearerd everywhere. Getting that stuff off would be a challenge.

The party was in full swing and some of the costumes were fabulous. One trio had chosen the theme “Sex, Drugs and Rock&Roll” where each of them took a seperate aspect. “Drugs” had pills all over her lab coat and would dole them out at appropriate times. Pausing every few minutes to go to the bathroom to “freshen up” returning with white powder under her nose. Andy had had a golf ball incident that was quite gory to look at. Sean and Tina were escaped loonies …. and their costumes were cute too. One guy looked like a dead on unabomber. The winners of the costume contest was “8 month pregnant hooker and her pimp”. I think it was the metalic tube top that really brought that costume to life.
