Man, its been busy. Do I say that a lot? Well, its true!
Thanksgiving went without a hitch, if you ignore the long driving hell. Normally it takes 2 hours to drive to Stockton but this day it was over 3.5. Accidents were everywhere. One was so nasty they blocked the road and all the streets leading to it. I took this side, almost dirt road and basically slid over the mass of red blinking lights. My River Rat heritage kept me in good company and I traversed the challenging road (more challenging because of all the RV’s with drivers of less that desirable driving skills). Dinner with Johns family was nice. Then we went to one of his friends and I gave a quick tutorial on websites, domain names and threw in some retail advice for their gaming system. We decided to head back to my place, watched some B5 and relaxed. That was nice.
Friday was busy. Kim was in town and I was having a small dinner party for her. This required cleaning the house and going shopping. Peeps starting rolling in around 6 and all brought food and there was a lot! One guy brought various drink making material (midori, triple sec!). People like to drink, so I spent part of the evening making up drinks. Thank GAWD for the Magic Bullet, or I would never have been able to make all those drinks. Its a wonderous kitchen device. As I tried to keep up with all the glasses, washing them for the next batch of creative drinks, I could hear the conversation in the living room. People were talking, not arguing… and it was really nice. Kinda gave me a memory that sticks in your mind and you can reflect on when you are 85 (and at Retirement BeachTM). Oh and I had a lot of food left over, but most of it was lamb. Ick.
Work rolled around way to fast. I am building a web server and the system admin broke something on the motherboard. *sigh* He gave me another server, and I had time to get my config files. But damn, I am having to redo the whole damn thing. Good thing I document everything.
Smolt! was last night, we came in 4th. It was a sad sad sad sad day for SMOLT!

Lamb is good.
Smolt is not funny.
The family loved having Chris around, and a good time was had by all. In fact the only problem with being with Chris is that we can’t play City of Heroes together!
But it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make. Aint love grand!
