I see the end of the tunnel when it comes to the work load. the train tracks never end but at least there is light, or head above water or whatever symbolism floats your boat.
August/September and January/February are my busy times. New semesters, new projects and oh my “could you also add this one thing which is really small and will require almost no work what so ever.” Au contraire!
I enjoy the work but its just been long and stressful lately. I have rebuilt two servers with one left to go. One is our new webserver, along with a new web site that someone else administors, which means I had to work on security measures and decide what access to give not give to this individual. Wrote up documentation for the new web server, I really should stop but right now its over 80 pages. I realize its prolly overkill but when I look at it a year later and go WTF ? Or how did I do that the answers will be there.
Another server was used to install blogs, wiki and various crunchy dynamic goodness. This is cool, and will probably install the goodies on this server. You know … “when I get around to it”. Add yet another server, redo 3 other sites, oh yeah dont forget you have a two workshop next week and ummm do you have time to photoshop these images for me. Oh and this (thing which is not connected to us whatsoever) is not working, can you fix it. Oh and I fixed the ico/firefox issue, all is well!
But I digress. Tonight is SMOLT! We came in 3rd last week with two of our smolt missing, we will flourish tonight!
