Saturday John and I went to Occidental to meet Mother, her husband (known as My New Daddy or MND) and take a look at a possible wedding/reception location. Lunch at the Union Hotel was great, best clam chowder in a long time! Then we went to Camp Meeker, about 1.5 mile away to check out Anderson Hall. Its rustic and quaint. Kinda small but has potential. 2 firepits, lovely weather, full kitchen. We also checked out St Dorthy’s Retreat up the hill. Lovely place but once we got there, we were iinformed they dont do weddings. Oh well. Of course you all know I have to look at more, well yeah.
Anyway after that, I showed John a bit of the river area and we stopped by the Pee Wee Golf in Guernville. It was cute and funky but so indicative of the 1950′s. I’ll let you guess who won.

and a few of those holes were tough!

I notice there were no shots of YOUR “tough” and “cruel” holes! :p
Yeah, funny that.
Err, it’s her blog? Of course she shows the good pictures!
Did greg tell you? We officially have no kitchen.
Construction boys came and tore EVERYthing out, even the linoleum and the tile in the window! (We thought they’d leave those things.) It only took 2.5 hours, too. (And the lady on the phone said 2 days. Feh. Greg was annoyed cause he took both thurs and friday off.)
Well, now we have to get floor. LOL.
Probably get vinyl but I’d love to have those ugly rust colored tiles removed in the entryway and on the fireplace.
And the gross pergo downstairs. And the bathrooms. And…
heh. Well. Maybe we should just complete the kitchen and sell this place and get one that we (I) like better.
