And so the convention has begun. We get up bright and early, John drops me off at the convention center and makes his way to the sites and sounds Monterey has to offer.
The Keynote speaker was J.A. Jance, one of my fave writers. She spoke of her life, a troubled life and how she has overcome them. Then she sang to the audience, twice. I am not sure what she had to do with Internet Librarians, but I liked it.
I read that there was wireless available there, but I was not able to access it. I did find the hotels wireless but declined it. Here is the price for their wireless.

John, Rick and I then went to dinner at Fishwife. Its a local hangout Kevin had recomended it. It was yummy.

Meanwhile I was hangin’ at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. You know, under water is really an alien world. There is some VERY weird shit down there, and after spending several hours looking into these massive tanks YOU start to feel like the one that’s out of place, not the fish.
Drat! If I had known you guys were going to be there I could have given you my two free tickets to the Aquarium. No way I can use them before they expire in December.
