I have to go to a Conference this week in Monterey. OKay not “have to” but it a good conference and John has those 2 weeks off, it was like fate. Since I am paying for the room, its cheap but has DSL.
We arrived at the Blue Lagoon around 6 pm Sunday. The room is small, and its a good thing I brought soap and all the other things, But its okay. It looks like they cut up the room strangley, or this motel was from another era. The closet is more like a hallway you dont need a remote control for the tv, just stretch enough you can turn the channels with your toes. The cheapness of the room, mismatched light bulbs, shower curtain is at a 37 degree angle tell me it was a do-it-yourself job. But the outside is painted a friendly blue and I can’t hear any of our neighbors.
We walked around Cannery Row. I made John go into the As Seen On TV Store.
Where they sell stuff you see on those awful comercials.
We tried to find the stupidest items.
He won when he found Peel-A-Shrimp.

We grabbed some yummy food and walked to Fishermans Wharf. We spotted another Just Married car, covered in soapy words and strings. Must be in the air, since driving from Santa Rosa, we passed 3 Just married cars.

Pluse this place is “Crow Town.” There were about a hundred of the bringers of wisdom hanging about outside the motel. It was a very welcoming sight seeiing and hearing them as I arived.
re crows: it’s all the dead fish on the beaches.
but yay for crows anyway!
you would like where I work: there’s a nest on the building, I think, right under where I park. I got scolded mightily the other morning for being too close, i think.. one of the parents landed on the hood of the car and told me off for a bit while I was pulling stuff out.
MAGIC GRIPPERS!!!
