La summer, when Tim was visiting, a bunch of us turned into yuppies and went wine tasting. One of the places we went was Roshambo Winery. This is what I had to say about it back in June
… a winery named Roshambo. This place had “style” and kinda reminded me of many of the musuems in Barcelona. Sadly what it had in style it lacked in substance. Everyone disliked the wine. Groovy music and art does not make up for iccky wine.
Well, reading the local newspaper today, Roshambo, the hipster winery known for its irreverent attempts to reach new wine drinkers, is selling its stylish Russian River facility to Silver Oak Cellars, the upscale Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon specialist. Basically the place that bought them had had a fiee and needed a new location while they rebuild. It was still iccky wine.
