A few friends, coworkers and countrymen when to MacWorld yesterday. It was, as always, interesting. Since the hall doesn’t open until 11, I took the time to sleep in a bit. Nice! I set the alarm back and hour and went to bet. The normal time to wake up arrive and Zori got very close to my face and meowed, really loud. she has been doing this a lot, also around 11, as if to tell me its night time, stop working and get to bed.
I ignored the cat and rollover after a few more precious minutes of sleep. she jumps on my hip, oofff, damn heavy cat. I try to ignore it and go back to sleep. Few minutes later there is tugging on my hand. Damn cat it trying to pry the diamond off my ring. She stopped when she discovered she was now flying.
Mere hours later Julie, John and I were at MacWorld. Parking wasn’t too difficult. It was crowded but we found a space. I noticed this jerk had taken 2 spots and had gotten a ticket. good. I was so irritated my hands were shaking, which explains the blurry picture. Yeah that’s why.

The newest and most coveted item at MacWorld was the iPhone. Available in June, it is sleek and was displayed on a pedastal that slowly rotated. Many man people stood and stared at its beauty, only to be chastised if they dare touched the glass. All Covet the iphone!

There were some great things there. What surprised me was a few vendors complete lack of preparation. More than once I would ask about *their* products and they would be clueless. They were just temp help hired for the convention. Thats fine, did they have any materials, documentation anything? No …nothing. Just a slogan and a computer. What does your product do? Those booths must be darn expensive, I looked up the Macworld exhibitors section and was told for prices give their sales manager a call. You *know* that means cha-ching! To spend the big bucks for a booth, people, transportation and then not even have information available for you customers is insane. Not even talking about swag here, just a piece of paper that tells when what your product does, how much and where I can read more about it.

Drool!
Save your covetousness… Some day soon, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, they will add in the camera, GPS, and something along the level of PSP-Gameboy mobile gaming.. . Which will of course use the internet connection to be online. And content for maps and games will be downloadable rather than through junky cartridges…
It will be the one gadget to rule them all. I predict a year from now….
