Last weekend was Sac-Anime, Sacramento’s ANIME, Manga and COS-Play show (where the Fans come to play). John is the school adviser of the animation club at his school, well the kiddlings saved up their money, ran a beef jerky sale and made it a club trip.
John needed another adult, so I went. I got there before them so got to do a little people watching. It was located at a Scottish Mason/church building. this building has a huge parking lot and as people wandered in it was pretty obvious where they were going. One side was a church activity, people dressed in wool coats and impeccability groomed. The other side was people dressed as Sailor Moon. Both sides would stare at each other as to say “Freak”.
The big yellow bus showed up, I hopped out of my nice warm car into the cold cold cold day. His students all stared at me for 3 minutes tops then quickly lost interest. I was asked if I was the one who sends John MANLY PLANTS for his birthday. As soon as they were paid for and had tickets the kids were gone and we saw only a few of them until the end of the day. John and I spent the rest of the day watching movies and looking at the stuff for sale, most of which I had no clue. I did however buy an Andy Lau movie, how could I not?
After the convention, John took his merry band of kiddlings back to Stockton. I drove over to Joes, played with his cat (who ignored me), then we went to Ethopian food. Yum.
