I surprised John and got him a Wii for his xmas/birthday/groundhog/valentines present. If you are into game consoles, you might know the Wii is very hard to get right now, it seems to be far more popular that the PS3 and they sell out in a matter of minutes. His buddy Jim works at a game store and was keeping an eye out for me. As soon as one came into the store, he called me and it was ago! I was able to surprise John somewhat and tell him there was Wii waiting for him in Stockton. Surprisingly, he choose to drive to Stockton immediately
and get the Wii and come back. Okay I wasn’t that surprised. So off he goes, he calls me on the way, the clerk to sold it to him was a tad bit envious. When he called Jim at the sister store to left him know he indeed had the Wii, Jim placed him on the speakerphone and it appears the whole store heard “I gots me a Wii!” and people were coming up asking if Jim has any more Wii. Therein lies the love and call of the Wii. Hours later he walks in the door, beaming.
He sets up the lovely Wii and we start playing. Well he does, I will have time this week to play so let him have this night. The console comes with a sports game, the boxing you actually bob and weave, it works up quite a sweat!
We also finished up the registry at Bed Bath and Beyond. They gave us a little gun and we shot all the items that looked neato. Well John did, I just wanted around and said get this one, get that one. Its amazing some of the things they sell there, John got all excited about a blow torch for making Creme Brule. I found some really strange and well stupid things for sale. A banana slicer, for those who need help slicing. And of course a combo radio/toaster when you want hit tunes and toast.

You cannot withstand the Call of the Wii! My friend Jim (the very man who helped me get mine) bought his own Wii today when they got an extra one. Now, if I can only find another Wiimote.
