John and I were lucky enough to attend the Dickens Faire yesterday. It didn’t seem as crowded as years before, we got excellent seats for every performance and everyone seemed in good spirits. We were one of the first people through the door and as John greeted Rebecca and iamnotbob I was escorted to a “special”section of London.
After I escaped having to dance at Fezzwings Warehouse, we made our way through the streets of London. We stopped by the Adventurers Club and got to hear Edgar Allen Poe recite a touching and heartfelt poem and ophymirage and Andy give a lovely reading. Swung by the Dark Garden and surpised Izzy. She looked bootiful! Next stop was Pirates of Penzance! Arrrrghhh! It was pretty good! Man those peeps can sing! Then a melodrama from Crummels Family Theatrical Company that has us howling, it was so darn funny.
Mixing in a little window shopping, John had never had his palm read so after locating all the tarot cards, we found a palm reader.
So she started the reading. Unfortuntely she was off .. way off… in that she didn’t get a single element right. What is strange is that she pretty much described my personality in stead of Johns. So when she asked if we have any questions, we are like.. umm nope. thanks… and we ran away.
John dragged me to French Post cards (enough said about that but he really liked it) and we ended our Dickens Faire experience with Mad Sals Dockside Alehouse. Its quite raunchy and we laughed so hard, I lost my voice for a bit. I think the actors were a bit surprised at the last song as well After the Faire ended, we were kicked out into the cold cold night (although we tried to hide behind the tallness that is iamnotbob). We met up with them and went to Rebeccas parents house. What really nice folks! Quick dinner, loads of conversations and back home. It was a long but fun day.
