Its a new year! Happy New year everyone! Vacation seems to blur by and already I am back to work. John and I made the various family rounds and then spent the rest of the time at home. Doing various home improvement tasks and more research on the science of naps. We discovered that if you walk into the kitchen for whatever reason, Lego will follow you. He tries to jump into the fridge and if that fails there is always the dishwasher.
If I open any can, he runs in thinking its cat food. Which is surprising, since we only have fed him 5 cats of cat food in his entire life. He has doubled in size in a month and he and Zori fight/play for hours. Keeps them both tired so we can get some sleep. Its been bitterly cold lately, I dug out all the down comforters and have taken to wrapping up like a burrito, John puts on swears and says he’s good. I just don’t get that. New Years Eve was at Jim’s house, everyone played Apples to Apples and then I promptly fell asleep on the couch. Whoo! Watch out I am a party animal!I t was time for my 50k oil change on the car. The “check engine” light was also on. This has happened before, if you don’t put the gas cap on tight enough. Mechanic calls and says oh no its $999!

glad to hear at least some is covered by warranty – I just had to replace distributor in Nissan, to the tune of $657. Guess I didn’t really need that savings account.
HA! Ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha…. Its stories like this that make me glad I drive a beater.
P.S. You always need a savings account! But its even more important to have an “Oh &^%$” fund with about 3 months pay to cover stuff like this. That generally the first piece of investment advice I give people. %$^$ happens, and you need to be able to pay for it.
