Sunday the sisters took Dad out to beautiful Vallejo to the Pirate Festival! Arrrr@ Kinda like the ren faire … with pirates! None of my party had been to any kind of festival, so it was nice to show them this. I recognized a *lot* of Dickens peeps. It was mellow at 10, slightly overcast and a bit chilly as we wandered around. A few hours later, as the sun came up, it was hotter and more crowded. Dad escaped the angry powers of the sun, the sisters … not so lucky.

Ali was selected to go on stage and elect a Pirate King. Although the damn speaker was in my way I could hear her giggling through the entire performance. She even got close to Jack Spare-Rib!





One of the assignments in the Web 2.0 online class was to create an account in Flickr and pop up some pics of the library. Well I already had an account, but this was my chance to add photos via the iPhone. One of the negatives about the iPhone is the inability to include photos in your text messages.
